Professional Services DivisionThe Professional Services Division focuses on the development of best practices in testing as well as the advancement and development of NCTA programs and services promoting those practices. This division oversees committees on Test Center Certification, the NCTA Proctoring Network (NPN), and CAS Standards implementation. During that meeting those involved determined NCTA needed to create a larger footprint within higher education. This imperative lead to a goal entered into our strategic plan to become a member of CAS and to work towards the development of Testing Standards.CAS promotes the use of professional standards for the development, assessment, and improvement of student learning programs and services. CAS is comprised of 42 collaborating professional associations representing over 115,000 professionals in higher education. CAS has developed 44 sets of standards and guidelines including the Testing Programs and Services Standards. The Testing Programs and Services Standard was developed and released in March, 2019 and the self-assessment guide followed in April, 2019. NCTA is committed to providing professional development through webinars and conference presentation to support its membership in understanding how to implement self assessment an to clarify how it accompanies Test Center Certification.
