Proctor Certification Committee
Part of NCTA's mission is "the promotion of professionalism and quality in the administration of testing services and programs." An ad hoc committee is designing an exam with Meazure Learning to evaluate and certify proctors who are meeting certain standards. Co-Chairs Dr. Cindy James and Dr. Sara Rieder Bennett co-presented with Meazure Learning psychometrician Andrew Dedes during the 2022 Annual Conference to update members on progress:
“Introducing the NCTA Proctor Certification Exam”
A standing Proctor Certification Committee was formed on August 18th, 2022 in the Professional Services Division to develop policies and procedures for proctor certification. Members interested in volunteering can contact [email protected] for further information.
NCTA does not provide training resources to prepare for the exam. However, a non-exhaustive list of references used in the development of exam content is available here:
