The Archivist compiles and organizes documents and other materials pertinent to the NCTA Governing Board, Conferences, Treasury, Legal Matters, Policy, Professional Development, History and Development, Newsletters, Special Projects, and National Testing-Related Mailings. He/she provides copies of the bylaws, previous year's Board minutes, most recent conference program, and NCTA's history for new Board members each year; the term is three years.
The Newsletter Editor compiles and edits the organization's newsletter which is published three times a year and solicits and requests articles for each newsletter. Regular features include a Letter from the President, Governing Board minutes, list of Board members and committee chairs, conference information, and a Profile of a member. In addition, the Editor works with the Webmaster to post the newsletter on the web site and sends out a message on the NCTA Listserv to advise members that the newsletter is available on the web site. The length of term is indefinite.
The State Liaison promotes state organizations and meetings of NCTA members on a local level to increase participation and work on a state-wide level. The committee chair arranges a meeting at the annual conference to gather information on state level conferences and workshops and recruitment activities. The length of term is three years.
The Volunteer Coordinator is the Past President of the Board and serves a one year term. Responsibilities include collecting volunteer forms after the annual conference, notifying committee chairs of members who are interested in serving on committees, and following up to verify that the appropriate actions were taken. He/she also coordinates other activities to recruit and make the best use of volunteers in the organization.
The Webmaster maintains the NCTA website, updates the contents in a timely manner, and investigates/repairs any technical difficulties. Responsibilities also include serving as liaison to NCTA's internet provider and arranging for any fee payment for services. He/she manages the web page by maintaining security, verifying that disk space used is enough to meet the needs of NCTA, and making sure that all functions on the page match one another in look and feel. In addition, the Webmaster maintains communication with the Board and the membership to evaluate the effectiveness of the web page, makes regular reports to the board concerning the web site, researches related web site information in order to be a resource to the Board, and answers questions that are sent via the web site. The length of term is indefinite.
